Silver Fern HR Consulting is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented HR Coordinator (1099 subcontractor) to support ongoing HR activities for a small employer client. This is a great opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys flexible, part-time work and wants to partner with a boutique HR consultancy.

About the Role

This subcontractor will provide approximately 10 - 15 hours per month of HR coordination and administrative support. Work will be a blend of remote and onsite tasks, with onsite availability in Olympia required as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes

  • Maintain employee files and HR documentation

  • Coordinate recruiting logistics (posting roles, screening, scheduling)

  • Track compliance items (training, certifications, required notices)

  • Prepare basic HR communications and documents

  • Provide general administrative support to the HR function

Ideal Qualifications

  • 2+ years of HR Coordinator or HR Administrator experience

  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through

  • Comfortable working independently and managing deadlines

  • Professional communication skills and client-service mindset

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

  • Tech-savvy with HR systems, Microsoft 365, and common HR tools

Contract Details

  • 1099 subcontractor role

  • Approximately 10 - 15 hours/month
