Silver Fern HR Consulting is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented HR Coordinator (1099 subcontractor) to support ongoing HR activities for a small employer client. This is a great opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys flexible, part-time work and wants to partner with a boutique HR consultancy.
This subcontractor will provide approximately 10 - 15 hours per month of HR coordination and administrative support. Work will be a blend of remote and onsite tasks, with onsite availability in Olympia required as needed.
Support onboarding and offboarding processes
Maintain employee files and HR documentation
Coordinate recruiting logistics (posting roles, screening, scheduling)
Track compliance items (training, certifications, required notices)
Prepare basic HR communications and documents
Provide general administrative support to the HR function
2+ years of HR Coordinator or HR Administrator experience
Strong attention to detail and follow-through
Comfortable working independently and managing deadlines
Professional communication skills and client-service mindset
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Tech-savvy with HR systems, Microsoft 365, and common HR tools
1099 subcontractor role
Approximately 10 - 15 hours/month
Must be able to work onsite in Olympia as needed
